**THE ROLE**
Under the direction of the Associate Vice-President Military Family Services, the Associate Director, Resilience and Engagement, Strategic Program Development, will be responsible for providing leadership to either a team within the Virtual Military Family Resource Centre or a team focused on Research, Development and Evaluation.

They will lead and manage the design, implementation, evaluation and reporting of key initiatives as directed by AVPs MFS. They will oversee activities aimed to support families through military challenges like relocations, deployments and transitions, specifically in relation to increasing their access of critical services such as child care.

They will liaise and engage with other teams within MFS and CFMWS. And they will engage with CAF, community, academic and stakeholder organizations to build and mobilize a network of support required to enhance the operational readiness of military members and the well-being of their families.

As a leader within MFS, they will be accountable for ensuring teams are delivering on strategic initiatives and building key relationships with their peers and staff.
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies, Sociology, Social Work or a related field AND several years of experience in social research, program and community development or a related field

**Experience**

In analysing, planning, implementing, managing, controlling and evaluating the operations and delivery of community based programs and services

In building relationships with stakeholders and developing working relationships with communities

In presenting issues and opportunities to high-level officials and third party stakeholders

In synthesizing information to provide a balanced perspective of issues and writing reports

In program design and policy development

In business and strategic planning

In problem analysis and resolution

In group facilitation and team-building with youth, adults and families

In conflict resolution

In establishing, sustaining and fostering network of professional contacts

In project and contract management

In preparing and delivering digital social marketing campaigns

In the delivery of adult based learning and facilitation of workshops

In report writing

In project management

In budget administration

In personnel administration

In advising, developing, applying, synchronizing and maintaining policies, procedures, and regulations
