Calkins & Burke Ltd. is looking to fill a full-time Network Support Technician position.

JOB DUTIES:

- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations and laptops, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and annual control records
- Perform archiving, data backups, and disaster recovery operations
- Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
- Support Help Desk ticketing software and maintenance of office inventory program
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- May train or supervise other workers in this group. Will act as a mentor for co-op programs for Canadian schools.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree with Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years in IT related position, experience working in international trade considered an asset
- Good working knowledge of Linux, Device Drivers, Networking software, Hardware, Security, Internet, Servers, vSphere, SonicWall, Zabbix, Citrix, Apple/MAC, Windows, Powershell, SQL database, Office 365, Business Central Dynamics NAV, Therefore
- Experience with in-house training
- Fluent in English
- Vietnamese language is preferred but not mandatory, as we are an international trading company with a trade partnership agreement with a company in Vietnam
- Excellent oral and written communication

- An ability to explain technical information to non-technical people
- You love technology and have hands on experience with everything tech (smart phones, tvs, printers/multi-function machines, etc)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
