Job Title: Assistant General Manager

Job Summary:
We are a small restaurant company in Hamilton and looking for our future leaders as we grow into Cambridge. We will be opening our second location of The French in The Gaslight District in Cambridge ON.
With three restaurants currently and more on the way in the next few years we are eager to find people who believe in the important of hospitality and forward thinking leadership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the guest and employee experience on a daily basis as well as ensuring that our policies and framework for service details are maintained and thoughtfully executed. Hospitality is our career and our passion and we are looking for people who feel the same.

Prior experience in a management or leadership role would be an asset. Restaurant or service experience also a plus. Working knowledge of point of sales, financials, scheduling etc.. is also nice to have. A strong desire to collaborate and a willingness to learn - a must.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year base +

**Duties**:

- Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations and decision-making.
- Supervise staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies when necessary.
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the establishment.
- Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints professionally.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for business improvement.
- Assist in staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
