Approval Capital is looking for an experienced **General Manager, Automotive** to join us in our Cambridge Location. In this key role, you will be responsible for the operation of the dealership, providing oversight, guidance and coaching for the entire store and working closely with the rest of our executive management team in taking Approval Capital to the next level. In doing so, you will positively impact dealership and group revenue and profitability while ensuring overall customer satisfaction with the dealership.

**About the Role**:

- Be the face of the dealership for DAG’s customers
- Ensure all dealership customers receive a consistently exceptional experience
- Ensure that the same exceptional customer experience provided to outside customers is also being provided to internal dealership customers
- Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for ensuring every guest leaves satisfied; exploring opportunities to add value for our guests on each visit
- Develop, enforce and monitor guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Responsible for continuing the growth of the dealership's profitability
- Conduct regular department and team meetings, reviewing and setting team and individual goals and department performance and strategies
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the dealership and develop plans for each department to meet those goals
- Hire, train, motivate, coach and monitor the dealership staff
- Prepare, administer and be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and operating budgets for the dealership
- Continue to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading manufacturers' publications
- Ensure that the monthly department targets and gross profit objectives are achieved or surpassed
- Responsible for ensuring all department staff are licensed, qualified and certified, as required by law and the manufacturer
- Provide support for the department managers and their teams, as necessary
- Analyze sales, expenses and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals
- Analyzes departmental operations with department managers and revise as necessary for maximum profitability
- Provide technical assistance to department managers and employees, as necessary
- Monitor employees' payroll records
- Coordinate a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork
- Direct shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing
- Monitor daily reports
- Together with department managers, create and implement fixed and variable side sales efforts, including maintaining relationships with existing customers
- Develop sales promotions
- Take advantage of all manufacturers' inventory co-op advertising
- Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the DAG’s guidelines
- Assist in the collection of past-due accounts
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, provincial and local regulations that may affect the dealership
- Maintain professional appearance
- Other duties as assigned

**Required**:
MUST have valid OMVIC certification
MUST have at least 2 years sales experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$200,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Commission pay
