**Senior IT Contracts Management Specialist **with the client
** **for a
**contract opportunity**.
**Role Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads the negotiations of complex/high-profile procurement initiatives in partnership with TDS and RACE21 executives. The successful outcomes of these initiatives are those solutions that meet business requirements and create value for the company as measured by reductions to the company’s EBITDA through the Path to Value.
- Implement agreements with strategic suppliers with a $10M - $50M+ contract value.
- Liaises between the company & suppliers, acting as a central point of contact for contractual issues. Leads and manages a group of matrixed team members including senior managers and directors across the enterprise (Legal, Risk, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and T&I) as well as supplier account teams.
- Provides Subject Matter Expertise for consulting, cloud and software spend from initiation of requirements, engagement of suppliers for proposals, coordination of financial documents, engagement of Procurement, interaction with Legal, presentation of a contract to executives for signoff, etc.
- Develops trusted advisor relationships and provides leadership and valued contracting advice to facilitate the effective management and completion of procurement initiatives.
- Draft and review IT vendor contracts independently or in partnership with legal counsel including but not limited to: consulting services agreements and SOWs, software end-user license agreements, maintenance-support agreements, outsourced service level agreements, hardware, and cloud-based services agreements.
- Take a leadership role in the preparation of responses to solicitations.
- Mentor more junior IT Contracts Management Specialists with contract negotiation.
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years of experience in leading contract negotiation, pricing, and procurement activities.
- A deep understanding of IT contracting and commercial concepts and processes, coupled with strong negotiation skills and the dexterity to lead complex commercial negotiations.
- Extraordinary communication skills, both verbal and written, with the sufficiency to adapt to different audiences, including demonstrated ability to effectively present commercial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Experience in contracts management and/or supply chain operations, with demonstrated capability in strategy development, contract drafting and negotiation, supplier relationship and performance management, and strategic sourcing.
- Experience in successfully leading large cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to develop and execute projects, initiatives, strategies, or other large opportunities and drive superior results and value creation.
- Basic understanding of accounting (accruals, payment cycle, capitalization, budgeting).
- Bachelor’s degree in the supply chain, business administration, logistics, finance, engineering, or related discipline required.
- Background in or general knowledge of information technology hardware and software.
