The Restaurant Reservations Supervisor is a key member of Cambridge Mill's Front of House Team. They elevate the guest journey from the first inquiry to fond farewell by expertly managing the reservations system and overseeing host operations. This role focuses on creating seamless, personalized guest experiences while upholding refined service standards. Through strategic leadership of the host team and thoughtful coordination of group and private dining events, the Restaurant Reservations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in setting the tone for exceptional hospitality. **Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Monitor daily reservations and adjust floor plans and pacing as needed to optimize flow and guest experience.
- Maximize seating efficiency and service pacing using OpenTable, while maintaining the high standards of Cambridge Mill. Work with Restaurant Managers to assist in driving sales to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
- Maintain accurate reservation notes and ensure all special requests are communicated to relevant teams.
- Manage all group and private dining bookings, including initial inquiries, confirmations, contracts, and day-of execution. This includes responding to guest inquiries in a timely fashion.
- Act as main point of contact with Front Office for all in-house VIPs, wedding couples etc. Communicating with them regularly to ensure the best experience for our guests.
- Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to finalize menus, timelines, and logistics.
- Prepare and distribute BEOs, ensuring accuracy and timely communication across departments.
- Update host scripts, OpenTable notes, and printed materials to reflect current menus and offerings.
- Promote special events, seasonal menus, and unique offerings to guests with knowledge and enthusiasm.
- Ensure the entrance, lobby, and reception areas reflect the elegance and care associated with Cambridge Mill’s elevated service standards.
- Personally welcome guests and act as a key point of contact for VIPs and high-touch service moments.
- Proactively manage waitlists, walk-ins, and guest expectations with professionalism and care.
- Serve as a key operational leader at the front door, ensuring hosts are equipped, informed, and aligned with service goals.
- Be a visible and active presence during service, supporting the host team and collaborating with the Restaurant Director to ensure exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure private events are executed with smooth service, satisfaction, and adherence to guest expectations.
- Contribute to daily pre-shift meetings and align on guest flow, reservation pacing, and large party coordination.
- Actively participate in menu rollouts, process change and seasonal changes, working closely with the culinary team and senior leadership.
- Act as the liaison between the property and the host desk - ensuring that, during any process or policy change, that we have adequately communicated and equipped our lead hosts to facilitate a successful transition.
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery with confidence, empathy, and discretion.
- Provide operational insights and feedback to leadership to support ongoing improvements in guest experience.
- Support overall service strategy with a focus on team development and long-term growth within the management team.
- Provide leadership and daily oversight to the Lead Host(s) and host team, offering coaching and performance feedback.
- Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new host team members.
- Support and help coordinate training sessions to uphold high standards in service, operations, and team development.
- Provide day-to-day delegation support and oversee checklist completion.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource and trainer on all operational systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring consistent team adherence.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining easy access to necessary supplies as directed
- Report and follow up on maintenance and asset care issues, ensuring all equipment remains in safe working condition.
- Accurately complete incident and accident reports, ensuring timely documentation and appropriate follow-up.

Maintain valid First Aid certification and promote a strong culture of health and safety across the team.
