**Job offer: Production Technician**

**Job Overview**:
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor; the Production Technician will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is ready to operate safely. He/she will ensure that equipment is operated within process specifications and that good quality product is produced at all times.

**Specifications**:
This role is permanent full-time with a 40-hour work week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the change-over process and set-up (assembly and disassembly of equipment), to meet and exceed established change-over time standards, including cleaning the equipment.
- Troubleshoot when process/machinery is not working properly. When necessary, make machine adjustments to resolve line issues.
- Participate and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on production processes. Perform ongoing process evaluations including equipment time studies, run at rate studies, tool changeover studies etc.
- Implement 5 S program on the process line to asset what is needed, and where it is needed.
- Implement a maintenance schedule/task for every equipment.
- Verify which spare parts should be keep in inventory.
- Various help in the production department such as conditioning help, if needed

**Education, Experience and Qualifications requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technician or associate degree preferred.
- Strong mechanical/millwright mindset.
- Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

**Vue d'ensemble de l'emploi**:
Sous la supervision générale de la directrice de production ; le/la technicien(ne) de production sera responsable de s'assurer que l'équipement est prêt à fonctionner en toute sécurité. Il/elle s'assurera que l'équipement est utilisé selon les spécifications du processus et qu’une bonne qualité de produit est fabriqué, en tout temps.

**Spécifications**:
Ce rôle est permanent, à temps plein avec une semaine de travail de 40 heures.

**Principales responsabilités**:

- Participer au processus de changement et à la configuration (assemblage et démontage de l’équipement) afin de respecter et de dépasser les normes établies en matière de temps de changement, y compris le nettoyage de l'équipement.
- Dépannez quand le processus/la machinerie ne fonctionne pas correctement. Si nécessaire, effectuez des ajustements de machine pour résoudre les problèmes de ligne.
- Participer et contribuer aux initiatives d'amélioration continue des processus de production. Effectuer des évaluations de processus continues, y compris des études de temps d'équipement, exécuter des études de taux, des études de changement d'outil, etc.
- Mettre en œuvre le programme 5 S sur la ligne de processus pour obtenir ce qui est nécessaire et où il est nécessaire.
- Mettre en œuvre un calendrier ou une tâche d'entretien pour chaque équipement.
- Vérifiez quelles pièces de rechange d’équipements doivent être gardées en stock.
- Aides dans le département de production telles que l'aide au conditionnement, si nécessaire

**Exigences en matière d'études, d'expérience et de qualifications**:

- Diplôme d'études secondaires ou l'équivalent
- Diplôme de technicien ou d'associé préféré.
- Fort état d'esprit mécanique / mécanicien de chantier.
- Fort sens des responsabilités et la capacité de travailler à la fois de manière indépendante et dans un environnement d'équipe.
- Connaissance des principes de lean manufacturing et des systèmes de gestion de la qualité
- Bonnes compétences en communication verbale, écrite et interpersonnelle
