Job Details Make an impact with our Assurance and Accounting team as a bookkeeper. As a trusted advisor, you will prepare detailed and customized financial information, allowing firm clients to make decisions with confidence. MNP is proudly Canadian. Responsibilities Prepare and update government remittances and filings, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable and payroll transactions. Prepare client files. Perform the month‑end and quarter‑end close process. Maintain, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, inter‑company transactions and point‑of‑sale/system uploads. Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop solutions. Respond to information requests from various levels of government. Work collaboratively with the engagement team. Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary. Skills And Experience Accounting certificate. Advanced knowledge of French. Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an asset. Up to 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes. Experience using accounting software. Experience preparing T4 and T5 slips is considered an asset.
