**Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX**:

- As the Retail Analyst you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the labour model to better connect our retail workforce with our guests. Reporting to the Senior Analyst, Business Excellence, you will partner with Finance, Retail Excellence, and Retail Training teams to drive results around all workforce labour-related activities for the vertical retail division, while helping teams scale to meet our rapid growth targets. You are a driven professional with retail and industry experience in labour/workforce planning, know how to define, create, and execute against workforce strategy. The Retail Analyst is a strategic thinker, results oriented individual, and thrives in ambiguous environments. You are willing to roll up your sleeves, take ownership, and focuses on delivering results.

**Meet Your Future Team**:

- Business Excellence consists of the Retail Excellence, Retail Analytics, Retail Training, and Omni Channel teams. The team is best in the world at vertical retail, creating scalable programs and driving guest experience. In this role you will work cross-functionally with key partners stores, Ecommerce, Information Services, Customer Service, Finance, and P&C.

**If you were the Retail Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing**:

- Developing and driving labour planning optimization to align with business objectives in support of sales plan and operational needs
- Owning and maintaining the labour workforce quarterly labour model down to the details of by Store, by week labour plans, and seasonal headcount
- Creating and executing plans alongside the change management lead to improve scheduling efficiencies
- Conducting “what-if” scenarios to assess headcount, SPAH, labour efficiency, and cost impact to changes in the business
- Working with senior leaders to develop long and short-term headcount and staffing strategies, making recommendations for hiring based on business plan and gaps
- Creating weekly labour reports, and performing in-depth analysis
- Setting labour expectations and creating effective retail reporting
- Participating in developing standards to maximize operational efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and working to remove any roadblocks
- Developing and maintaining cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives while ensuring program consistency
- Conducting on-site time studies and market visits to understand labour needs by market
- Partnering with external consultants to conduct guest experience, labour, and utilization studies bi-annually

**Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future**:

- Partnering with Retail Trainers or change management leaders to create the Retail Labour Management framework
- Creating requirements for a Workplace Management System while supporting user design, user testing, and implementation of projects as needed
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to develop P&C analysis, compensation model, and a headcount matrix
- Partnering with all critical departments to determine quarterly labour needs (Visual Merchandise, Allocations, People & Culture, Retail Training, Retail Operations, Asset Protection, Health & Safety, Community, etc.)

**Are you our next Retail Analyst?**:

- You have a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in business, or a related field
- You have 3+ years’ experience in a relevant analytical field such as workforce planning, forecasting, analytics, or retail operations
- You have 3+ years’ experience in a vertical retail environment, with a deep understanding of retail
- You have experience with workforce management and planning
- You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate requirements, data analysis and captivate your audience via written communication, leading meetings, and presentations
- You have a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
- Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
