**Description**:
**Your Opportunity**:
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team in the role of Construction Administrator (CA). This person will join the team as our representative on projects during the Tender and Construction phases of our projects. It is a diverse role with technical skills, code related insight as well as a balanced approach to construction communications and solutions to onsite challenges.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Understand the contract delivery method and responsibilities for the parties involved.
- Review onsite contractor performance and adherence to contract documents and quality control.
- Issue site reviews detailing progress, quality, and any items of note that require rework or sub-standard workmanship or deviation from contract documents.
- Participate in meetings with a strong understanding of the electrical design intent.
- Offer insight to progress on construction for the electrical scope of work.
- Provide support and issuance of project documentation for supplemental instructions proposed changes or directives.
- Review of costing and recommendations related to acceptance, refusal or adjustments required.
- An understanding of quotations or estimating programs is an asset.
- Review monthly progress claims and provide assessments for the value claimed, versus the materials & labor expend to date.
- Coordinate the review of post construction documentation and review of submittals, operational manuals along with As-Builts record drawings.
- Aid in the review and acceptance of project close out documentation for the various authorities.
- Help coordinate the Letters of Assurance and occupancy as it relates to Life Safety and turnover to owner for use.
**Qualifications**
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience of work in a commercial institutional work environment.
- Possess a CCCA (Certified Construction Contract Administrator) designation or comparable designation. Willing to accept applicants with the understanding they will get you will attain your CCCA certification.
- Willingness to travel to work sites throughout Saskatchewan and Western Canada. Some overnight site visits are required depending on the location of the project.
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Have related Safety and Construction background with a full understanding of proper principles and safety precautions to maintain Safe procedures on a job site.
- Understand project documents as well as the ability to prepare sketches to aid in providing a concise accurate description of work.
- Self-motivated and have the desire to represent the best interests of PWA Engineering.
- Be able to maintain a professional attitude on a project worksite, or when in attendance of meetings.
- Have a comfort level with PC based programs and the ability to utilize construction-based software to administer documentation in a logical methodology.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical code and interpretations of the document.
- Have a willingness to gain a working knowledge of NBC and other safety documents that are applicable when used, reviewing code-based relevancy and acceptability.
- Have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- The ability to work efficiently within a team and individual environment.
**Education & Experience**
- Possess a CCCA (Certified Construction Contract Administrator) or related experience in a similar construction background.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience of work in a commercial institutional work environment.
- Possess a valid Electrical Journey Persons License for Saskatchewan or other recognized jurisdictions in Canada.
