**Job Brief**
**Your Responsibilities**:
You will lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver on research, development, and innovation objectives by:
- Developing and implementing project strategies, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Unifying reporting across a multidisciplinary team and leading reporting to engineering teams, management teams, and granting agencies.
- Ensuring research efforts are aligned with organisational goals and comply with regulatory standards.
- Working with domain leads to design and oversee experiments to investigate chemical, biological, and engineering processes, ensuring scientific rigor and reproducibility.
- Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, synthesizing results to inform progress against key performance indicators and providing technical insights to guide decision-making.
- Implementing and upholding health and safety practices to ensure the safety of all personnel.
- Fostering collaborations across disciplines to drive innovative solutions to technical challenges.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and excellence within the team.
- Staying informed of the latest scientific developments and emerging technologies relevant to the organization’s goals.
**Report to**:
The R&D Project Lead will report to the Chief Technology Officer.
**You are**:
You are a senior chemist with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing projects effectively.
You have:
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, electrochemistry or a related field, with 5+ years of project leadership experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: enzymology, molecular biology, electrochemistry, surface chemistry, or other fields of sustainable chemical production.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of diverse technical experts, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Advanced knowledge of experimental design, analytical techniques, and data interpretation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
- A track record of publishing, patenting, or implementing innovative technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory environments, quality systems, and industry standards is preferred.
Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
