D-Wave is the leader in quantum computing systems, software, and services and is the world’s first commercial supplier of quantum computers. Our web service, LeapTM, is the only cloud service that delivers real-time access to a quantum computer (currently the D-Wave 2000Q) and a full suite of open-source programming tools. Leap now has hybrid capabilities that combine the power of quantum and classical computers, analogous to the way a CPU works with a GPU, enabling the solution of very large problems. Software tools make programming easy, in languages like Python.

**The Role**:
Responsibilities require leadership and project management experience, as well as expertise to

ensure compliance to SOC2 Type 2, and to lead additional production readiness projects. You will also learn about D-Wave's internal controls and security practices, and work with internal teams to respond to external questionnaires from customers regarding these practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with cross-functional team to obtain and maintain SOC 2 certification
- Manage additional projects as needed to support SaaS product production-readiness
- Provide project management leadership, defining requirements, milestones, and schedules
- Manage the execution of project deliverables according to the schedule
- Continuously monitor program performance and manage change as needed
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Proactively identify, communicate, and manage risks and issues
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Establish frameworks for ensuring that processes are developed, maintained, and followed across the company
- Develop and communicate standards for record-keeping
- Coordinate the evidence-gathering process to ensure external compliance audits are as efficient as possible
- Manage external compliance audits to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, with no preventable deficiencies
- Respond to questions from auditors, customers, partners, and other third-parties about D-Wave’s internal controls and security practices
- Monitor compliance and security controls to ensure consistent quality is maintained

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Project management experience, including estimating projects, writing proposals, building project plans, managing to these plans, managing risks and issues, and proven experience ensuring successful project delivery on time and within budget
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including reports, processes, and presentations
- Experience working in many industries, learning new domains fast, and adding value fast
- Ability to work with diverse group of cross-functional internal stakeholders and influence them to deliver
- Excellent organizational skills

**Nice to Haves**:

- Understanding of common security standards and regulations relating to SaaS product production-readiness
- Professional certification or formal training in one or more of: IT Security, Compliance, Risk Management
- Relevant experience in organizations that are compliant with SOC2, ISO, or similar
