Description
Assists and provides support to training management on matters of passenger service through training and training programs. Proactively promotes a professional customer-oriented culture, introducing friendly teamwork in accordance with Menzies Aviation's and customer airline's policies and procedures. Adheres to all standards and procedures while ensuring all work is performed safely and is supported by following the established procedures and protocols.
**Main Accountabilities Include**:
- Effectively deliver new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel.-
- Effectively deliver Passenger Service OJT, secondary OJT and other training-based classes.-
- Project a professional image/conduct at all times.-
- Ensure that the delivery of training courses are aligned to support and ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest possible standards of safety, security and all government statutory requirements.-
- Coordination with airline stakeholders to ensure all Initial and recurrent training material is up to date and meeting regulatory standards.-
- Ensure station training and LMS records are aligned with corporate training modules as shown in the Menzies Aviation Learning Development Policy.-
- Support employees and supervisors in undertaking protective and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them.-
- Support corporate compliance by ensuring that training is aligned to promote and support applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.-
- Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.-
- Participate in safety audits daily and provide corrective action assistance to management.-
- Complete passenger service audits and other reports as requested.-
- Tests trainees to measure progress and evaluates effectiveness of training.-
- Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.-
- Able to meet the Station’s attendance standards.-
- Must be able to travel to other Stations when required.-
- Must be able to hold and maintain Airport security clearance.-
- Perform other duties as required.**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience as customer service agent.-
- Must have experience on Air Bridges (Passenger Boarding Bridges).-
- High school diploma with at least two (2) years of experience in ramp operations in a Lead/Supervisor or Training capacity.-
- Must have previous experience as a passenger service lead and have a satisfactory safety/performance record.-
- Experience in Airlinechoice, Go Now, Raddix, Altea CM would be beneficial.-
- Must be certified trainer for customer or be able to successfully complete and pass the training program.-
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.-
- Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.-
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.-
- Thorough knowledge of customer service operations, aviation security, safety practices, legislation and customer supplier relationships.-
- Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.-
- Ability to drive safety van and truck from one work site to another as needed.-
- Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.-
- Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.-
- Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.-
