**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store activities, including sales, merchandising, and customer service.

- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
- Assist with budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks to maintain smooth store operations.
- Foster a positive shopping environment through excellent customer service and effective communication skills.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing staff development initiatives.
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication (including phone etiquette), and organizational skills.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and payroll processing.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies, pricing policies, budgeting, and sales management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Administrative experience including organizational skills, math proficiency, and recordkeeping is highly desirable. Currently we are looking for an assistant manager and/or management for our Zumiez location in Lethbridge, Alberta in Park Place Mall. You will be responsible for driving an exceptional customer experience no matter how the customer chooses to engage. **Manager Responsibilities**: Zumiez managers are responsible for aiding in accountability for profits and losses,team member training and development, inventory, sales promotion execution and merchandising. Responsibilities also include managing staff issues, customer complaints, community relations, compliance with store policies and other administrative duties.

**Manager Qualifications and Skills**:

- 1-3 years of retail experience, and previous management experience.
- Be dependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays as well as having flexibility with store assignments.
- Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers in an engaging manner. - Individuals who are aggressive, competitive, committed and energetic
- Proven history of successfully training employees
- Strong understanding of sales and customer service techniques
- Demonstrated ability to maintain operational efficiencies
