We are currently seeking a **Procurement Specialist** to join our growing team in **Dartmouth, NS**. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**Details**:

- Maintain optimal inventory levels by processing regular stock orders.
- Accurately enter and maintain purchase orders, confirmations, and open orders.
- Maintain accurate vendor price lists and parts number data.
- Provide product information in response to sales branch requests, or sales promotions.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and department leads.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management reports.
- Analyze and adjust system settings to reduce stock-outs.
- Ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues and shipment discrepancies.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers in conjunction with the internal accounting department.
- Work with internal departments to resolve any on-hand/ERP stock inconsistencies.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary training in Business Administration, Purchasing or comparable area.
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks or automotive parts, or experience in a comparable industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strategic aptitude.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong technical abilities and proficiency in a Microsoft Environment and using ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge in a specialized industry area is beneficial.
