**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure the truck remains operational.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, maintenance, and driving practices.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment safely.
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery documentation and compliance with regulations.
