**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all freight is secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations.
- Perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed, including minor automotive repairs.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and best practices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with basic automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail in maintaining records and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
