DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide marketing and outreach support to the Career Loans team for the promotion of services
- Produce creative and persuasive advertising and marketing materials
- Research and develop online marketing and social media strategies, including search engine optimization
- Assist with the organization of program presentations, webinars and special events
- Assist with administrative services, including general office supports
- Prepare weekly reports on marketing statistics and trends

QUALIFICATIONS: (Must have)
- Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and must intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
- Preference will be given to those with Post-secondary education in social media marketing and management, communications or digital marketing.
- Working knowledge of all popular social media platforms and using software such as Hootsuite and Hero post, including how to provide social media analytics as needed
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of working on video conference platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong team player with the ability to prioritize and problem solve

**Nice to have**:

- Knowledge of Google tools such as Search Console, Analytics, AdWords, Places, Calendars
- Proficient in working in Canva
- Experience with WordPress, a bonus
- Experience with Content Writing, a bonus
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups

**VERY IMPORTANT**: To be eligible for this Canada Summer Job position, youth must:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,

*The youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The youth may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.

International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling and those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible. As the objective of the Canada Summer Jobs program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student’s time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
