We’re looking for a **Financial Planning Analyst** to join our Finance team and help guide the organization through data-driven decision-making and long-term financial planning.

Key Accountabilities:
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will:

- Collaborate with departmental managers to develop **budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial outlooks** aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and enhance **planning templates** and manage timelines for input completion.
- Conduct research on economic indicators (e.g., fuel rates, inflation, FX) to inform financial strategy.
- Prepare **financial models, reports, and presentations** for senior leadership, the Ministry of Health, and the Board of Directors.
- Act as a **super user** of financial planning systems (Cognos TM1), developing and enhancing reporting tools.
- Perform **risk and opportunity analyses**, including “what if” scenarios and ad-hoc financial assessments.
- Represent Finance on **cross-functional project teams**, integrating financial considerations into planning and execution.
- Review and prepare financial sections of **briefing notes, business cases, and procurement proposals**.
- Approve purchase order requisitions and ensure compliance with financial policies.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or Business**.
- 5-6 years of experience in **budgeting, financial planning, and analysis**.
- Strong understanding of **GAAP**, with exposure to **PSAS, ASPE, and IFRS**.
- Experience in the **Broader Public Sector** and familiarity with its financial frameworks.
- Proficiency in **SAP** and **Microsoft Office**, specifically advanced excel skills.**:

- ** IBM Cognos Express** considered an asset**.
- Ability to design and present financial analysis and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train and support business unit managers.
- Experience liaising with resolving vendor queries, leading financial update meetings.
- Exceptional customer service skills to work with internal stakeholders.
