Are you a skilled and motivated individual with experience working in a warehouse and a knack for working with tools and machinery? We are currently seeking a technical assistant / warehouse worker for a 3-month term to join our dynamic team in Port Coquitlam, BC. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, including operating an electric forklift, managing warehouse operations, and assisting the warranty department in processing claims. This contract may lead to a full time employment

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate and maneuver an electric forklift to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including inventory management, order picking, and packing.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and communicate restocking needs to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space
- Collaborate with the warranty department to process and manage warranty claims.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics on defective heaters for warranty claims, identifying root causes and issues.
- Utilize technical knowledge to perform effective and compliant repairs, ensuring systems meet performance standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum High School Diploma
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 45lbs multiple times throughout entire shift
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and forklift operation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Experienced with tools

- Self-motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
- Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues

**Schedule**:
This is a full-time contract position with a fixed schedule:
Monday to Friday

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

**Term**:
3 months (with the possibility of joining the team full time)

**How to Apply**:
**Salary**: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 6M2 (required)
