Manager -technical Accounting and External Reporting

We are looking for a Manager, Technical Accounting and External Reporting to join our fast-growing team. Position is open to remote work.

This role will be involved at various depths with financial reporting and SOX/ICFR compliance while working closely with other finance team members including Corporate Controller and multiple departments across the company.

**What you will do**:

- Manage the quarterly and annual close process by assisting in the development, drafting and review of the external financial statements, Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and other reporting deliverables;
- Manage the external close calendar for E INC’s annual and interim earnings cycles;
- Work with business partners to evaluate transactions and balances to ensure they are properly recorded in the financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements, as applicable;
- Participate and manage special projects and analysis as directed by finance management, including evaluation of exposure drafts for potential impact on the company, leading in drafting any potential responses to the exposure drafts, providing technical accounting guidance in implementation of new systems or processes, interfacing with business partners to develop various projects, and M&A diligence;
- Participate in integration efforts for acquisitions;
- Maintain the company’s lease portfolio, including producing monthly financial statements and quarter and year end disclosures;
- Assist in the creation and development of accounting policies and procedures and drive consistency among all of E INC s subsidiaries;
- Assist with C-SOX compliance in the areas of control and process development, documentation and enforcement, and training; and
- Manage the year-end (YE) external consolidated audit

**What you will need**:

- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) with strong IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledge
- 5-8 years of public accounting experience, with Big 4 experience is preferred
- Experience in identifying, designing, implementing, and testing controls related to processes having impact on financial reporting
- Familiarity with the quarterly/annual close process including tie-out of financial statements/MD&A, technical research
- Proficient with and adaptable to technology tools (e.g Netsuite, Microsoft Word/Excel, Workiva, Blackline)
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team setting
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple deadlines and projects
