Black & McDonald's Ottawa team is growing If you are a committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you.

This opportunity is in relation to the modernization of the heating and cooling energy distribution systems, servicing over 80 buildings, in the National Capital Region. Named the Energy Services Acquisition Program, or ESAP, the project involves the construction of four new central heating and cooling plants and their associated distribution networks. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for providing support to an off-site warehouse, dedicated to the storage of material and equipment for the project. This is a full-time position, for a duration of one year.

**Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Receive, store and organize all incoming material;
- Complete material receiving reports ;
- Order filling;
- Scheduling and shipping of materials to and from the warehouse and coordination of inventory transfers to various construction sites;
- Delivery driver of construction material and equipment from the warehouse to the various construction sites ;
- Maintain storage area and yard by organizing floor space, materials, and recommending improvements;
- Maintain clean floors, minor maintenance, landscaping and winter snow maintenance;
- Ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to;
- Properly dispose of scrap materials;
- Tool management including receiving, tagging, and tracking in Asset Management System;
- Maintain a clean and organized tool crib;
- Other duties as required.

**COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS**
- Forklift Operation
- Telehandler Operation
- Valid G license with a clean drivers abstract
- DZ or AZ license considered an asset
- Communicates Effectively

- Organizational Skills
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights certificate considered an asset

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 1-3 years' experience in the warehousing industry
- 3-5 years' experience in driving and delivery

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

Knowledge and understanding of:

- Warehouse inventory management
- Mechanical and electrical material and equipment components
- Safe storage and handling practices
- Applicable local and provincial labour codes
- Organization and time management
- Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
- Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook)
- Ability to lift and move heavy products up to 50lbs
