**We’re Hiring: Bookkeeper (Hybrid - Work from Home & In-Office, Full-Time)**

**Your Role**
As our **Bookkeeper**, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day and month-to-month financial functions of the business. This is an **independent role reporting directly to the owner/operators**, with access to a **third-party accounting firm for additional support when needed**. You’ll handle everything from reconciliations and payroll to KPI reporting and OHIP billing, playing a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
**Responsibilities**
**Bookkeeping & Accounting**
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions using **QuickBooks Online**:
- Perform **daily reconciliations** (checkout accuracy, gift cards, loyalty programs)
- Manage **accounts payable** and ensure timely and accurate processing
- Maintain **inventory records** and place weekly supply orders
- Prepare and process **cash deposits for bank**:
- Generate **weekly KPI reports** and **monthly revenue reports**:
- Calculate and process **monthly staff commissions**:
- Manage **POS pricing updates** as needed
- Process **Input Tax Credits (ITCs)** weekly
**Payroll & Compliance**
- Administer **bi-weekly payroll** and track employee **vacation and sick days**:
- Process and reconcile **OHIP billing** (daily/weekly)
- Ensure all financial records and filings comply with Ontario and CRA regulations
**Business & Internal Support**
- Provide financial insights and reporting directly to the owner/operators
- Collaborate with a **third-party accounting firm** for higher-level accounting needs, year-end, or technical issues
- Continuously refine and improve internal workflows
- Onboard new processes and maintain organized, accessible records
**Tools You’ll Use**
- **QuickBooks Online**:
- **Salesforce with Commerce Cloud**:
- **Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Chrome)**
**What You Bring**
- **2+ years of bookkeeping experience** in a business or retail environment
- Strong working knowledge of **QuickBooks Online** (required)
- Familiarity with **OHIP billing** is an asset (or willingness to learn)
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of **HST, payroll, and Canadian accounting standards**:
- Comfortable working **independently** and communicating directly with ownership
- Good communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
