- Our Reman Production Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Reman Production Shops including, Powertrain, Engine, Machine Shop and Hydraulics. Through the frontline supervisors, this role ensures the efficient production of Reman Components by focusing on the principles of the Cat Production System.- Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behavior’s at all times in support of Toromont’s health and safety policies, programs and initiatives
- Working closely with the Process and Quality Manager, this role will oversee the Contamination Control initiatives as well as the implementation of Interim Corrective Action and Permanent Corrective Action initiatives.
- Work closely with the scheduling team to optimize our assets and improve workflow in the facilities. Must maintain a balance between our Reman Exchange program and Customer Repair and Return work.
- Partner with Branches and Sales Reps to understand the customer requirements and deliver a premium customer experience. Travel to customer sites is a requirement.
- This role provides leadership to the Reman Supervisors and is measured by standardized KPI’s.
- Manage the overall strategy for Work Allocation, Shift Loading and Vendor Relationships to achieve the most efficient production cost relative to our peer group.
- Work closely with other Reman facilities to ensure production consistency.
- Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within management and/or supervisory position
- Strong technical aptitude with a solid knowledge of products and services that are supported by Toromont Cat
- Customer centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and well organized with strong problem solving and time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of machining, rebuilding, production equipment, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Results driven with solid business acumen and proven commitment to deliver internal and external service excellence
- Self-motivated and a collaborative team player able to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Adaptable and able to address competing and multiple priorities by planning effective strategies and remaining current on the market conditions
- Experience with Cat product lines, Cat Systems/DBS/SIS is considered an asset
- Willing and able to travel and work outside regular business hours as required
- A valid passport and Driver’s Licence with current Clean Driver's Abstract
- Must be fluently bilingual in both written and verbal.- Other Information:
