Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time Program Assistant in the School of Media, Media, Trades & Technology Division. The starting rate is $22.60 /hr for a 24 hour work week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Welland Campus.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Media, the Program Assistant provides administrative support for the operational and academic needs of the programs within the School of Media.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provides administrative support to the Associate Dean by making recommendations and resolving routine inquiries/concerns from students, staff and public
- Maintains record keeping and monitoring of purchase requisitions
- Assists Associate Dean with inputting and organizing work assignments, scheduling requirements and related reports
- Gathers information and generates reports arising from daily operations
- Organizes formats and posts course outlines
- Collects and orders text book requests
- Prepares clinical agreements for student field placements

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum two (2) year diploma in Office Administration, Business or similar field of study
- Minimum two (2) years of office administration experience in a high volume environment
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to exceptional customer service
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work well with many interruptions
- Demonstrated diplomacy, responsiveness and sensitivity to the differing needs of students with a high regard for confidentiality
- Experience with database management and systems such as PeopleSoft are an asset
