If yes, consider the following opportunity: As part of the Rogers Communications Network "IP and Server Operations" team, the “Infrastructure Specialist” will be responsible for support and administration of IP and DOCSIS platforms. Reporting to the Manager of "Operations, Management and Control Networks" at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this position requires a strong background in IP Networking and deep knowledge of DOCSIS standard. **What you will be doing**: - Serve as the last-tier support for IP/DOCSIS services on CMTS/CCAP and also RCMIN network devices. These services include residential voice, data, TPIA, enterprise and also management network - Ensure timely identification, isolation, analysis and resolution of network and service faults - Recommend unique approaches to problem resolution, situation analysis, testing strategies, and fault reproduction - Provide expert level support for change control activities including impact analysis, MOP reviews, implementation and post-activity verifications - Create and maintain all related network and support documentation - Collaborate with Engineering, Project management, vendors, various TACs and other groups to ensure seamless introduction of new technology, platforms and services into production - Provide feedback to engineering teams regarding identified network design and performance problems - Build relationship and collaborate closely with other departments across the organization and vendors - Be on periodic on-call rotation - Adhere to all applicable Health and Safety regulations in accordance with company policies **What you have**: - Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience on IP networking, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches and firewalls - Knowledge of DOCSIS standard is preferred. - In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS and Multicast is mandatory - In-depth knowledge of Cisco Network Registrar, DNS, DHCP, and BACC protocol is an asset - Excellent technical troubleshooting, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills - Excellent teamwork skills - Self-motivated, high energy, flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities **Schedule**: Full time **Shift**: Rotating **Length of Contract**: No Selection **Work Location**:8200 Dixie Rd (341), Brampton, ON **Travel Requirements**: Up to 10% **Posting Category/Function**:Technology & Engineering **Requisition ID**: 289007 Posting Notes: Digital & Technology
