**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other components of dishes.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management as necessary.
- Participate in the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils after use.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry.

**Pay**: CA$16.00-CA$18.00 per hour

We have a position open in our awesome kitchen team to start immediately. We hold high expectations for ourselves and work in a professional environment focused on our guests by leading a great quality of life in an industry we love so much.

Our kitchen team is paid $16 to $18 an hour based on skills and attitude. We add 3 to $6 tips per hour based on attitude, teamwork, and work ethic.
