We operate the wholesale distribution of non-medical cannabis and beverage alcohol within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Cannabis Stores and BC Liquor Stores.

The LDB has been assigned to distribute, wholesale and sell non-medicinal cannabis inclusive of a government owned online channel with a mandate to support government’s key priorities of protecting children and youth, ensuring health and safety standards, and keeping the criminal element out of the supply chain. Following legalization, the BCLDB began distribution and wholesale of cannabis, and operating BC Cannabis Stores in a growing number of locations across the province. Since 2018 the BC Cannabis Stores chain has grown to 30 locations with more growth planned all across the province. Cannabis operations within the BCLDB includes the Distribution, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing departments.
The Data Analyst is an important member of the Wholesale Category Management team overseeing a group of LDB cannabis products, providing information, detailed research, support, and recommendations regarding assortment development, product selection, and product lifecycle management.
The position is also responsible for category management projects, contributing to the development of assortment strategies to meet the needs of cannabis customers across the province of BC. While reporting to a Wholesale Category Manager, the Merchandise Analyst provides a variety of services that have a direct impact on product management, customer service, and achievement of LDB revenue objectives. The Analyst applies knowledge of business, operations management and product management to perform detailed research and create recommendations to contribute to achieving strategic business objectives. The position applies judgment to identify issues, evaluate options and create recommendations to advance product management objectives.

**Position Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:
- A minimum of two years of recent* and related experience in **any **of the following or equivalent**.
- Experience with product selection, assortment planning and development.
- Experience with data/sales analytics.
- Experience with supporting product costing and price negotiations.
*Recent, related work experience must have occurred in the last five years.
**An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, i.e., a degree or diploma in business administration, operations management, marketing, merchandise planning, category management and/or similar discipline and a minimum of one year of recent, related work experience.
