**Position Overview**:
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is resourceful, collaborative, level-headed, customer-oriented, responsive, and a creative problem-solver with a strong work ethic. The role of Country Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for Canada is responsible for anchoring our People strategy in Canada and executing the DI SW HR Software programs and practices at a country level. This position will provide end to end HR support at a local level that includes management coaching, talent acquisition, and employee relations. In addition, this HRBP performs necessary duties and responsibilities that are defined at a country/local level (given local legislation and compliance requirements). The HRBP will closely align with Country management and Zone HR on a regular basis and collaborate on specific business unit and organization needs with the applicable global HRBPs. This role requires proactive alignment and collaboration with the local Siemens Regional Company/ organization on mutual topics of interest (talent sharing, Siemens branding, college recruiting).

Siemens DI Software has offices located in Alberta (Calgary), Ontario (Kanata, Oakville, and Ottawa), Quebec (Montreal, Saint Laurent) and Saskatchewan (Saskatoon).

**Essential Functions**:

- Support and implement Local People Strategy / Functional HR Strategy and / or other Local strategic HR initiatives/Governance with respective business leader(s) of Siemens DI Software - includes R&D, Sales, and Services.
- Provide advice and guidance to and partner with DI SW business leaders on employee relations issues, ensuring HR policies and management practices comply with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain in-depth local knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
- Partner with managers and employees and Global/Zone HR Business Partners to solve problems and bring a “customer service” mindset to support and promote Siemens as an employer of choice.
- Drive collaboration amongst Global HR peers/ partners to ensure consistency and best practices.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Align decisions of Employee Relations issues having impact from a legal, policy or compliance perspective.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Communicate and provide internal support related to talent & employee development. Identify training needs for business units, collaborate with Talent Development team to select and implement training.
- Drive the DISW Performance Management process (Growth Talks) to influence high quality target setting, performance management and career development process.
- Contribute to the development of proposed business specific policy changes, programs and initiatives.
- Manage special HR projects as needed, including M&A activities.
- Partners with and educates employees on Performance Management process (PMP), including target setting, performance, employee development and Talent Reviews.
- Manages delegation contracts (inbound) for assigned business groups. Manages inbound country to country transfers.
- Collaborate and partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) on organization’s talent acquisition efforts and strategically Partner with Talent Acquisition team to hire for all groups within the country to include EDA (sales and segments), IT, Finance and the GSCS overall organization in adherence with DISW/EDA policies and procedures. Leverage broader Siemens for talent consideration.

**Skills and Abilities Required**:

- Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, written and verbal communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to translate business strategy into people strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Ability to work independently. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

**Education and Experience Requirement**:

- Bachelor's degree plus 8 years relevant industry experience; master’s degree desired.
- Wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**:

- This job operates in a professional office environment, Hybrid.
- Travel is required, as necessary.
