Harry's Fish & Chips is a fast-paced, customer-focused food service business known for quality meals and a great team environment. We’re looking for a reliable and energetic **Cook / Kitchen Hand** with at least **2 years of cooking experience** to join our kitchen team.
**Key Responsibilities:Cooking Duties**:
- Prepare and cook meals according to company recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain food quality and presentation during service
- Manage cooking times to ensure orders go out promptly
**Prep & Kitchen Duties**:
- Prep ingredients daily (e.g., chopping veg, marinating, portioning)
- Set up the cooking and prep stations before service
- Keep stock rotated and stored correctly
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and surfaces
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
**Frontline Prep for Service**:
- Ensure hot line and cold stations are fully stocked and organized
- Refill sauces, sides, garnishes, and other essentials for the service team
- Communicate with servers to ensure smooth order flow
- Restock and clean the line during and after peak hours
**What We’re Looking For**:
- **Minimum 2 years of experience in a cooking role**:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knife skills and solid food prep knowledge
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Punctual, reliable, and a team player
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (or willing to get certified)
