**The Kitchen Assistant/Cook is responsible for**:

- Preparing a variety of ingredients according to each recipe
- Assisting other Cooks and Chef during service
- Working in collaboration with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operation
- Regularly inspecting food and supplies to ensure safe food preparation and storage standards are maintained
- Following established sanitation standards, maintaining a clean work station and assisting with cleaning of the overall kitchen and service areas

**What we are looking for**:

- Have experience working in a fast paced high-volume establishment (even if it's not necessarily a Japanese restaurant)
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine
- A valid Foodsafe Level 1 certificate. A red seal certificate would be considered an asset
- Good command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of Korean would be considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
