Project Manager Assistant

The primary role of this position is to be a key member of Wabash Mfg. Inc. in assisting the Project Management Team.

The Project Manager Assistant will work closely with the Project Mangers to efficiently manage the projects documentation, submittals, reviews and quality management processes. This will require extensive communication with the internal team members including engineers, drafting, trades persons, as well as suppliers.

**Duties**:

- Provide support to the Project Manager to help implement project goals and maintain schedule and efficiency.
- Work in collaboration with the manufacturing team to create and maintain an environment of open communication to ensure team success.
- Advise the Project Manager and team of potential problems and assist in resolving the issues.
- Review and update on a regular basis the costing summary of jobs.
- Create, manage, price, develop, communicate, and integrate change orders.
- Review drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Compile and manage deficiency lists.
- Correspond with clients in a respectful and professional manner.
- Research newly developed components, processes, and client requirements as requested by the project manager.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- *Strong English written and verbal communication skills*
- 5+ years organizational experience in the Manufacturing industry.
- Extensive Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling/Gantt chart planning tools.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability.
- Extremely organized and can perform under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Proven team player and comfortable in a dynamic environment.

**Additional qualification assets**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with a focus in the rail industry.
- Must live in Alberta, Canada
