**Opportunity**:
MacEwan University is seeking Parking Patrollers for multiple casual opportunities with the Parking City Centre department.
The Parking Patroller is responsible for conducting daily operational patrols of parking lots for Transportation Services and offering pertinent information to all University stakeholders, students, and visitors. Under the guidance of the Director of Retail, Transportation, Print & Mail, you will ensure the maintenance of parking equipment, assist with cash collection, and provide customer service at the parking office front desk. Additionally, you will enforce parking regulations as needed and address other daily operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrating thorough understanding of University Parking Policies D4110, with particular emphasis on D4112 for issuing parking violations;
- Patrolling the campus using a vehicle or by walking to verify adherence to existing parking policies;
- Writing warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles;
- Addressing customer inquiries through the parking help line as needed;
- Inspecting parking equipment daily to ensure proper operation; and
- Trouble shooting parking equipment problems with the assistance of senior manager as required.
**SKILLS**:
You will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- The capability of walking across campus multiple times daily and working in various outdoor conditions; and
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma.
- A valid Alberta Driver’s License.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in parking enforcement.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
