WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?
- Create customer educational material for Fire Protection
- Educate new employees on Fire Protection, and support technical competency development for Account Managers (AM), Fire Protection Specialists (FPS) and Field Engineers (FE)
- Create engineering product submittals for field personnel to facilitate the sale of key products
- Complete technical reviews to confirm accuracy of French translations for customer facing Fire Protection material
- Meet assigned deadlines for project assignments
- Collect customer data and provide leads to Field Engineers and Fire Protection Specialists to maximize field coverage and penetration
- Complete defined projects (e.g. presentation and intranet development, small testing projects) to support the activities of Hilti Field Engineers and other sales personnel
- Provide Field Engineer or Fire Protection Specialist territory coverage, as needed
- Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required - Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical discipline preferred
- Minimum two (2) years engineering experience required
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate required
- Communication (verbal, written, presentation) skills, required; ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, required
- Ability to organize and utilize large amounts of reference information in hardcopy and electronic files
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems
- Proven ability to read and understand blueprints, construction specifications, and documents
- Experience Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Bilingual in French and English preferred but not required

This job is #LI-Hybrid, meaning it is field-based and requires daily customer in-person interaction with your home serving as your office location
- Combination of normal office conditions and occasional jobsite visits during Field Engineer or Fire Protection Specialist territory coverage
- Adverse Working Conditions:

- Job requires walking on simulated construction sites and uneven surfaces, and may include climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs
- Simulated construction jobsites may also lead to exposure of excessively loud noises; ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some simulated jobsites
- High occurrence of sitting, standing, bending while conducted training exercises
- Safety Equipment Required:

- Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti and Canadian Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (COSHR)
- Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to walk on construction projects, climb ladders and scaffolding, and able to lift and carry as much as 65 pounds
