JOB SUMMARY & REQUIREMENTS *

Interim Manager to support the Regional Pandemic Response Unit (PRU) in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. The PRU is a 70-bed fully-functional, four-season field hospital equipped to deliver safe, quality care. The temporary unit was constructed to create capacity for COVID-19, and ensure patients from across the region continue to have access to care. We are looking for interim Manager to oversee the delivery of patient services in this new unit including safe, quality patient care and efficient patient flow as part of an innovative regional partnership. This is an exceptional opportunity to create policies, procedures and make operational decisions for a temporary field type hospital setting. As well as to provide effective leadership for the people in the department. As the interim leader you will also contribute to Medicine Program planning and operations, as well as participating in hospital-wide initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Current management experience at RVH preferred
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or Current registration with other applicable regulated health professional College of Ontario
- Baccalaureate preparation in a health related field essential with Master's preparation in a health related field preferred
- WHIMIS, SAS, fire safety training
- Working knowledge and understanding of Patient Information systems (i.e. Meditech)
- Working knowledge and understanding of Financial Management systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of Workload Measurement Systems
- Financial Management - education and training
- Leadership training
