The Team Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of production and maintenance employees to achieve performance targets related to safety, quality, delivery and cost. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to drive operational excellence within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to Ford Motor Company's commitment to producing high-quality powertrain components while maintaining a safe and productive workplace. The Team Manager plays a key role in droving our Ford Operating System, supporting employee development, and contributing to Ford's success in delivering reliable and innovative vehicles.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**:
**Experience**:

- 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferable in the automotive or powertrain industry
- 3+ years of experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Ford Production System knowledge a plus).
- 3+ years experience interfacing with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management.

**Preferred Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Master's in Engineering, Business or related discipline.

**Experience**:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Union negotiations experience is preferred.
- Competent in the use of data for decision making.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficiency to present in front of plant management.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems.
- Need to work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary.
- Having the ability to work and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- 6-sigma designation preferred.
- Proven analytical skills and quick decision-making capability.

**The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to**:

- **Maintain Production Flow**:Provide necessary resources to sustain production and verify that critical inputs meet acceptable quality standards.
- **Manage System Changes & Work Plans**:Plan, implement, and oversee all system changes, including revisions and improvements, and coordinate critical work plans (e.g., downtime, shutdown, change management) while evaluating their effectiveness.
- **Achieve Objectives & Drive Continuous Improvement**:Develop, coach, and support teams to achieve SQDCPME (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Maintenance, and Environment) objectives by driving continuous improvement initiatives and preventing the recurrence of systemic abnormalities.
- **Facilitate Abnormality Resolution**:Support teams in resolving issues, providing coaching and feedback to ensure effective and permanent corrective actions.
- **Optimize Maintenance & Performance**:Plan maintenance tasks, monitor their completion and effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement and coaching.
- **Foster a Continuous Improvement Mindset**:Promote a continuous improvement culture through effective Time & Data Management and planned FTPM (Ford Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
- **Develop High-Performing Teams**:Mentor, nurture, and develop highly competent and motivated teams, including Process Coaches, fostering collaboration and adherence to Ford values and expected behaviors.
- **Cultivate a Supportive & Performance-Driven Culture**:Create a conducive, respectful, and proactive work environment that encourages learning, effective communication, and empowers teams to excel.
- **Recognize & Inspire**:Proactively acknowledge team accomplishments to improve morale and foster engagement.
