**The Opportunity**
You will be responsible for the daily management of on-site operations of our projects, directing field personnel and maintaining good communication with our clients, trade partners, architects, designers and other team members in order to make sure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will also demonstrate leadership skills and will maintain a safe work environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage day to day trade contractor scheduling and field oversight
- Assist team with project planning and developing site logistics
- Assist Project Manager with schedule and oversight of in house self-performing crew
- Work closely with team members during pre-construction to identify and solve problems
- Direct field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule
- Ensure project is completed on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans, specifications and current building codes
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities
- Ensure proper signage is posted on the job site, and safety requirements are met
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Superintendent or Lead Carpenter in custom residential and/or remodeling construction
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Ability to read and understand Architectural plan sets (all disciplines)
- Technical understanding of residential and commercial construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices
- Attend weekly project status meeting with Project Manager and Client
- Work collaboratively with all team members including company staff, clients and trade partners including architects, designers, vendors and subcontractors.
- Stay up to date on new building technologies, techniques, and materials.
- Be familiar with all current Canada building codes
- Red seal certification as a carpenter is an asset
- Understand and comply with the company safety policy
- Responsible to know and abide by all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and peer group meetings offered by Alair Homes
- Ability to gather information, prepare reports and communicate well with others
- Capable of problem solving and dealing and experience with complex detailed projects
80-95K (Performance Bonuses Available)
Full Benefits Package
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
