Construction Estimator - High-Rise Experience REQUIRED

**MINIMUM 10 YEARS OF HIGH-RISE CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATING IS REQUIRED**

Our client is one of Ottawa’s most innovative and accomplished builder. They are looking
for Intermediate Estimator looking to take their career to another level within our growing
organized and have high-rise experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and/or work with established priorities and develop and implement a

comprehensive schedule, ensuring accurate sequencing and resource allocation to meet
strategic goals
- Knowledge of lump sum construction management and conceptual estimating
- Participate in project development activities including scope definition and clarification,

pre-construction planning, control estimate development and delivery
- Accountable for estimates from start to finish
- Full quantity take offs of work, ensuring timely and accurate estimates, proposals and

bid documents
- Obtain and review bids from subcontractors and vendors, creating a positive relationship
- Negotiate and award contracts
- Upon the review and coordination of drawings and specifications, proactively analyze

possible risks (schedule) including laps and gaps with recommended solutions, promptly notifying VP Construction on all issues
- Follow awarded contracts, estimate extra work and change orders
- Other duties as needed

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- 10+ years’ experience in Construction Project estimation
- Experience working in high rise residential construction
- Experience reading and reviewing construction drawings and documents
- Experience with construction tendering process
- Self-motivated and driven
