**Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk - Part Time**

The Account Payable & Receivable Clerk (“AP/AR Clerk”) reports to the Controller and is responsible for supporting the Finance Department through data entry and review, processing and posting of invoices & payments, preparation of invoices and account statements, and more.

This is a 16 hours a week, part time **6 months Contract** with a **possibility** of extension.

**Accounts Payable**
- Receive, record and process invoices from suppliers
- Responsible for the proper coding of invoices to proper GL accounts
- Bill chargebacks to clients as well as inter-companies
- Receive and process employee expense reports
- Advising employees and customers of payments made
- Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions
- Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions

**Accounts Receivable**
- Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as invoices and account statements
- Follow up on delinquent accounts and notify customers of insufficient payments

**General**
- Assist in implementation of policies, procedures and internal controls
- Assist & support with month-end and year end closing file
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls
- Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents
- Prepare financial reports as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 1-2 years of related experience
- High degree of accuracy
- Great attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with Quickbooks an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
