With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Manager to lead our ice cream manufacturing facility. Oat & Mill is a small, but quickly growing company and we’re excited to be looking for our next team member.

**Position Overview**:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ice cream production facility, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining product quality, and achieving organizational goals. This role requires a leader with strong operational expertise, exceptional people management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Starting Wage: $25 - 30/hr. Commensurate with experience.
Starting hours: PT leading to possibility of FT

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operations Management**: Direct daily operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- **Team Leadership**: Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure all products meet or exceed food safety standards and customer expectations. Collaborate with QA teams to uphold regulatory compliance.
- **Budgeting and Cost Control**: Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- **Strategic Planning**: Drive operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and support long-term business goals.
- **Equipment and Maintenance**: Oversee maintenance schedules for machinery and infrastructure, ensuring mínimal downtime.
- **Inventory Management**: Ensuring proper inventory of our products are maintained alongside inventory of ingredients.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements. Ideally HACCP, SQF.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
