**Position**:Bakery Production Manager

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)

**Location**: Port Colborne, Ontario

**About Us**: Since 2018, The Pie Guys Bakery & Café has specialized in offering hand-made baked goods, focusing on using ingredients that are locally sourced. We offer a large selection of pies that are made from scratch, hand rolled and hand assembly each day. Along with the pies, we offer a robust range of sweets and treats, as well as a full-service lunch menu in our café.

**About this Position**: As the Bakery Production Manager, your role is to oversee the day-to-day production needs at our Production Centre, including managing staff, maintaining inventory and ensuring quality standards are being met to ensure we deliver high-quality baked goods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Production Centre and it’s teams through the development of a positive work environment focusing on the respect of all employees
- Manage the Production Centre staff, including scheduling, training, sharing feedback on performance and hiring when needed
- Product forecasting and the development of daily/weekly/monthly production schedules, and the delegation of tasks to team members to ensure smooth production goals are met
- Lead the team in preparing baked goods in a timely manner focusing on quality, consistency and presentation
- Propose and develop new recipes
- Prepare recipes including measuring and mixing ingredients, moulding and forming dough, according to company-set standards
- Monitoring inventory in conjunction with the implementation of production schedules while ensuring a first-in, first-out strategy and implementing protocols to minimize waste
- Oversee the receiving of stock and orders, ensuring product is correct
- Adhere to all food handling and health & safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area through daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks including dishwashing

**To Be Successful in this Role**:

- You have practical knowledge of baking techniques and are punctilious in your work
- You offer effective leadership skill and share feedback in a positive and productive way
- You love working in a fast-paced kitchen environment ensuring quality vs quantity
- You are well systematic, organized and detail-oriented in your work
- Prior baking and team leadership experience is required (5+ years)
- You are dedicated to the bakery’s success and your personal development

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
