**Opportunity**
**Position**: Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Communications, the Manager, Marketing and Communications is responsible for supporting the implementation and consistent execution of marketing and communications strategies and programs for the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
**Status**: Full-time
**Location**: This role is based out of Provincial Office with eligibility to participate in our flexible work program.
**Essential Duties Snapshot**
**Marketing and Branding**
- Work with the Director, Marketing, and Integrated Brand Development to execute lead generating and donor engaging campaigns and creative.
- Track marketing and communications programs for impact and reports to the VP, Marketing and Communications.
- Copy edit collateral and creative, regulating the Ontario SPCA brand.
- Support animal centre special events, overseeing the use of vender booths and provide insight into appropriate creative content to be distributed.
- Oversee all external video production projects, providing instruction to the video production team and drafting scripts if need be.
**Communications**
- Work closely with Associate Director of Communications to champion a consistent brand and messaging, responding to public inquiries and student projects.
- Manage and write the monthly digital newsletters for both provincial office and all animal centres across the province.
- Perform proofreading and editing on written communications released by the Ontario SPCA Humane Society including articles, blogs, website content, eblasts and internal communication.
- Write materials for Marketing & Communications as well as other departments, including articles, letters, blogs, website content, eblasts, and internal communication, including the annual report and Newshound.
- Storytelling
- work with various departments to develop and document impact stories.
- Work with the Associate Director of Communications to develop and plan, in collaboration with members of Marketing and Communications and Development dept., ways to share various impact stories.
**Additional Functions**
Including but not limited to:
- Participate in community outreach and relationship management with key stakeholders, creative agencies, sponsors, media, partners, donors, vendors, adopters and volunteers.
- Occasional administrative duties for the department including mailing and media release distribution

**Do You Have What it Takes?**
- Post College degree in Marketing & Communications and/or equivalent experience
- Computer skills - Windows, MS Office, CMS (Wordpress and Luminate preferred)
- Demonstrated success in marketing and brand management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks with a high volume of work, often with tight deadlines.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to edit and proofread.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Ability and flexibility to work in a team environment, under time pressure, on some weekends or evenings.
- Is self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
