**Installer**

Smartec Solutions is a family owned and operated business with a long-standing reputation for installing and servicing residential and commercial alarm systems.

The Installer will be responsible for installing new products and servicing existing products. The Installer will be responsible for installing new products and servicing existing products. The Installer will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on all Smartec Solutions installed equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Should be able to run the cables and install cameras and networking.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, work in tight spaces as needed, work in hot cold environments as needed, use basic hand tools, and operate power tools (i.e., power drill)
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record that has been valid for the past three years with no more than two (3) moving violations with no other violations within the past three (3) years.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check(s)
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam(s) (if applicable)
- Must pass an appropriate pre-employment training period(s) (if applicable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: $1,100.00-$1,600.00 per week

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- alarm technician: 1 year (preferred)
