Veterinary Technician Assistant

Vet et Nous is a multidisciplinary team of specialists and high-level general veterinarians. Our mission is to care for our clients' pets as if they were our own. Our teams are located in two 24/7 emergency and referral centers, one 24/7 emergency and referral hospital and 17 general practice hospitals in the Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentians, Lanaudière, Mauricie and Capitale-Nationale regions. Your presence with our team is very important as you help them get our patients back on their feet as quickly as possible and with as little stress as possible. As a member of our technical support team, you assist the animal health technicians and veterinarians with procedures. You ensure the well-being of the patients in your care by providing reassurance and restraint during procedures.

Primary Duties:
Assist the veterinarian and/or health technician with procedures; Assist the animal health technician in his various tasks (restraints, blood sampling, catheterization, x-rays, administration and injection of medication, etc.); Communication with the Animal Health Technician on the condition of hospitalized patients; Cleanliness of consultation rooms, treatment rooms, laboratories; Filling of equipment necessary for the proper functioning of the hospital (surgeries, consultation rooms, treatment rooms) ; Instrumentalist and assembly of surgical garments ; Assisting the customer service representative (answering phones, moving patients through the rooms) ; Perform pedicures and ear cleanings; Participate in meetings or trainings offered, allowing you to acquire knowledge that will be useful in answering customer questions and assisting your co-workers; Work in collaboration with the animal health technicians and assistant technicians for the well-being of the patients; Perform any other related duties.

What you need: Basic knowledge of animals is an asset; Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize; Sense of judgment; Work in a team; Efficient and precise; Resourcefulness; Basic computer skills; Fluency in English and spoken French; Physical work.
