The historic landmark Palais Royale Ballroom is operated as one of Toronto’s premier event venues. We are seeking a bartender to join our team. Applicants should have very strong customer service skills and take pride and pleasure in being a part of the elite service team.

The team at the Palais Royale is tasked with consistently exceeding guest expectations by understanding their needs and making a conscious effort to provide a luxury experience to everyone who visits our establishment. Bartenders should be genuinely friendly and have the skills and knowledge to provide, suggest or create beverages suited to our guests. Bartenders set up the bar as per event requirements and are responsible for maintaining a pristine working environment during and between events. Outside of events bartenders may be tasked with preparation of ingredients, cleaning, training or other duties required to maintain the standards of the bar program. The Palais Royale maintains a strong team environment within and between departments. All employees may be called upon to assist other departments to achieve the common goal of exceeding expectations.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Superior communication skills
- Strong team oriented attitude
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work standing and walking for long periods of time
- Strong knowledge of cocktails and mixology
- Previous experience working as a bartender
- Experience in cash handling an asset
- Wine and beer knowledge an asset
- Able to lift 40lbs
