**Hours**: 35 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented **Receptionist** to join our team This role is essential in supporting our office’s operations and delivering exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact, you will represent the organization with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. You will perform various administrative tasks, including front-desk duties, filing, data maintenance, and general office support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Administrative Support**: Maintain files, prepare and send member letters and mail-outs, manage office supplies, and assist with meetings and events.
- **Mail & Packages**: Sort and distribute daily mail, process deliveries, and manage outgoing packages.
- **Financial Administration**: Accept and process payments for various services (e.g., dues, merchandise, training fees) and generate related financial reports for accounting.
- **Data & Document Management**: Organize and update records, create and print new member orientation packages, and maintain member communication lists.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work with Business Representatives to maintain updated lists and ensure smooth coordination of office tasks.
- **Office Security**: Follow safety procedures to monitor office access and maintain a secure work environment.
- **General Office Duties**: Handle building maintenance requests, manage inventory, and ensure the front office is always tidy and well-stocked.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1 year of office experience or an office-related certificate.
- **Skills**:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and office equipment (e.g., photocopiers, postage machines).
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous knowledge or experience in a union environment is an asset.
