Westpark Daycare Centre is seeking highly committed and passionate Early Childhood Educators for our Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten program. **Responsibilities**: - Lead teacher to plan and develop program in line with children's interests. Programming must be child directed and teacher supported in accordance with "How Does Learning Happen?" - Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioral problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills - Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities - Daily reporting and record keeping - attendance, allergy, medication, communication logs - Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks - Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary - Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms, program reporting. - Manage and maintain an orderly classroom - follow cleaning schedules and room routines - Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops - Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time **Requirements**: - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents - Supportive attitude and ability to provide emotional, physical, and/or behavioral support to children - Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail - Strong collaborator and team player - Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom - Strong problem-solving skills - Proactive in relation to health and safety **Qualifications**: - Formal training in Early Childhood Education from a recognized College or University - Member of the College of ECE's, in good standing by the Ministry of Education - Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months) Interested applicants are welcome to apply. **Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Life insurance - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: - RECE certificate (required) Work Location: In person
