Westpark Daycare Centre has been operating for the past 30 years at the border of Oakville and Mississauga. Our promise, is to always put our students first and ensure we meet their social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs. Westpark Daycare Centre is seeking highly committed and passionate Early Childhood Educators for our Toddler, Preschool and Kindergarten program. **Responsibilities**: - Lead teacher to plan and develop program in line with children's interests. Programming must be child directed and teacher supported in accordance with "How Does Learning Happen?" - Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioral problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills - Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities - Daily reporting and record keeping - attendance, allergy, medication, communication logs - Maintain up-to-date emergency cards, attendance, and health and safety checks - Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary - Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms, program reporting??? - Manage and maintain an orderly classroom - follow cleaning schedules and room routines - Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops - Perform other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time **Requirements**: - Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents - Supportive attitude and ability to provide emotional, physical, and/or behavioral support to children - Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail - Strong collaboratorand team player - Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom - Strong problem-solving skills - Proactive in relation to health and safety **Qualifications**: - Formal training in Early Childhood Education from a recognized College or University - Member of the College of ECE's, in good standing by the Ministry of Education - Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (within the last six months) Interested applicants are welcome to apply. **Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Life insurance - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: - RECE certificate (required) Work Location: In person
