**Radiologist Assistant**
**Radiologist Assistant need to enhance patient care in radiology services, under the supervision of a radiologist. The Radiologist Assistant evaluates images for completeness and diagnostic quality, report initial observations to delegating radiologist, provide follow-up patient evaluation and communicate the radiologist report to the appropriate health care providers. This job acts as liaisons between patients, radiologic technologists, radiologists, and other members of the health care team.**
**Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire**:
**Medical degree in Diagnostic Radiology, Canadian licensure is not required.**
**Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment**:
**BLS and ACLS**
**Experience PREFERRED**:
**3-5 year of previous work experience.**
**Education/training REQUIRED**:
**Bachelor’s Degree with post baccalaureate training from an academic program encompassing a curriculum that includes a radiologist directed clinical preceptorship.**
**Independent action(s) required**:
**Assistant evaluates images for completeness and diagnostic quality, report initial observations to delegating radiologist, provide follow-up patient evaluation and communicate the radiologist report to the appropriate health care provider.**
**May indirectly supervise technologist staff competency.**
