**Position Summary**:
The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for leasing all units assigned by the Portfolio Manager and attracting qualified tenants to our properties. This role will perform sales and leasing services to ensure accurate and timely occupancy in HomeEd units. Additional responsibilities include detailed report preparation and presentation, liaising with all real estate development and property personnel, and managing inquiries from all stakeholders. As a representative of a non-profit organization, the Leasing Specialist will need to adhere to HomeEd’s unique pricing structure and requirements. This role further requires the Leasing Specialist to be an effective time manager, pay keen attention to detail, and interact with the public. Other duties, relevant to the position, will be assigned as necessary by the Portfolio Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop, review and manage all leases, agreements, and contracts for HomeEd properties.
- Complete showings with prospective tenants
- Contribute to real estate development and property management leasing strategies.
- Maintain sustainable relationships with all real estate and property personnel.
- Manage negotiations through completion and follow-up of all lease-related issues.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings and events, where appropriate, to ensure proficient operation and promotion of all HomeEd properties.
- Execute general policies and best practices assigned from HomeEd.
- Remain current with industry best practices and legislative requirements.
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

**Education & Experience Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Experience in a sales role, preferably in the real estate or property management field.
- Experience and understanding of information systems, procurement, and contract management.
- Familiarity with non-profit environments, including reporting to a Board of Directors and regulatory agencies.
- An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with business use insurance
- Successful applicants will be required to submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police-Information Check.
